The Rock Makes Fortnite Debut in Chapter 2 Finale Cutscene

There is nowhere to escape from The Rock these days, with the action hero appearing in cinemas, on one of the most popular movies on Netflix, heading to the DCEU as Black Adam, all over Instagram and now he is even a character in the ever-expanding world of Fortnite. The Red Notice star revealed in a number of interviews that he would be lending his dulcet to a character in the game series, but it was never revealed exactly which character that was. Now, however, we know that Dwayne Johnson is The Foundation, leader of the powerful in-game group The Seven, who has been making appearances in Fortnite’s tie-in comics and cutscenes in the game.

The second chapter of the video game franchise came to an end on December 4th, and the face of The Foundation was revealed to be based on Johnson’s likeness. Whether this means that he will be making a few more regular appearances in Chapter 3, we can only wait and see, but it seems unlikely that they would waste the opportunity to have one of the biggest stars on the planet appearing in the game as much as possible once they have him on board. You can watch the whole event in the video below.

It was only a few days ago that Johnson took to his social media account to post a video of himself holding a can of Zoa energy and commenting, “Late night grind, POWERED BY @zoaenergy ZOA delivers healthy energy when you get to that ZERO POINT so you’re always taking the HIGHER GROUND. Because drinking ZOA, will always give you the strongest FOUNDATION in the UNIVERSE! Sip your ZO, now LFG!!!!”

Fans of the future Black Adam were quick to notice that there were more than a few references from Fortnite included in the text, and that was more than enough for fans to be certain of The Rock’s upcoming appearance in the popular open-world Battle Royale. Since its conception, the Fortnite game has evolved to include many famous characters, including heroes from the Marvel and DC universes, and considering he himself is joining the DCEU it is fitting that The Rock also gets his face in the game.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, Dwayne Johnson has been getting around quite a bit recently. Red Notice arrived on Netflix in November and immediately proved its reported mega-budget of $200 million was worth it as the film became one of the biggest original movies in the streamer’s history. While the critics were not overly impressed with the movie, in which The Rock is joined by Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds, audiences couldn’t get enough of the over the top high-octane thriller, and of course, that means the big guy is already teasing the possibility of a sequel coming in the future.

Next year will also see Johnson bring DC’s Black Adam to life, and he has been doing his best to big up the movie from pretty much the day it was announced. In recent months, the star’s Twitter and Instagram accounts have been jam-packed with behind-the-scenes photos, exercise routines, and more and it is almost like we have been right there throughout the filming of the movie, which is set for release in 2022.

If you can’t wait to get more of your fix of The Rock, then you can find Fortnite on pretty much every gaming platform imaginable.
